Mission statement:	To respond to children in need of care and protection and voice their concerns to policy and decision-makers by establishing a global network of children's helplines and provide support to individual child helplines. CHI’s objective is to strengthen existing helpline members, offering them a platform to communicate, network and share their expertise with other child helplines and policy-makers. Further, CHI facilitates the start up of child helplines in countries that do not have a strong safety net. CHI also takes an active role in advocating on a global level for children and their rights as set down in the UN CRC, be that with children’s networks, governments, UN Bodies or the private sector.

Organizational structure:	Child Helpline International is a network organisation of child helplines. The organisation is governed by a Supervisory Board that consists of representatives from the five regions (Africa, Americas and the Caribbean, Asia Pacific, Europe and MENA) and three external representatives.
Number and type of members:	Child Helpline International currently has 116 members, all child helplines, in 110 countries around the world. Child Helpline International is active in over 160.
Affiliation with NGO networks:	CHI is an official member of the following NGO networks: NGO Group for the CRC, European Federation for Street Children, Inter-agency network for Education in Emergencies, Child Rights Information Network, Euronet.
Funding structure:	Membership fees or dues Donations and grants from domestic sources Foreign and international grants
