| Purpose: | The organization was set up to assist communities to undertake re-afforestation, agro-forestry, construction and other income-generating projects. More particularly, the organization checks the acceleration of soil erosion, degradation of forests and embarks on community development projects, as well as sanitation, health and relief programmes. |
| Illustrative Project: | In 1990 COFOSODE undertook a Drug Demand Reduction Programme which took us to some selected schools in the country. We also visited work places, churches and organized public fora and rallies. In all these places our educational team explained to the gatherings the dangers of taking drugs like marijuana, cocaine, heroin and alcohol. |
