Office of the Special Adviser on Africa
Purpose: Create awareness among the youth about AIDS and methods of protection; train staff in the medical and social areas of AIDS; protect and provide financial support to AIDS patients and their families; perform research and studies related to AIDS.
Illustrative Project: Cooperation with governmental, local and national organisations to promote our objectives; Carrying out: 31 training courses on different aspects of AIDS; 222 executive symposiums with 20,000 participants; eight scientific contests in schools, youth centres and universities; 20 exhibitions about AIDS; five conferences for ministers, experts and specialists on different areas of AIDS; 80 medical convoys to present awareness about women's reproductive health; three research projects on AIDS and treament of patients, using the results as a base to plan organization programmes and activities, World AIDS Day celebration.
