Accreditation to: Indigenous Forum

Office of the Special Adviser on Africa

Purpose: Indigenous people networking in Southern Africa. i.e. South Africa, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Angola, Namibia to get the minority groups assistance in organizing themselves and to participate in planning, decision-making at all levels - national, regional, Africa region and internatioinal, with other indigenous populations.
Illustrative Project: Conflict resolution: Training leaders of 6 groups in Namibia to understand leadership rights and duties in linking up with the NGOs and Government and leaders of other ethnic groups. Violence: Assist in getting access to the legal system reporting the often unreported sexual abuse, rape, corporal punishment at schools.
