| Purpose: | To contribute to the creation of sustainable economic and social systems which are controlled by rural communities and which respond to their rural needs. |
| Illustrative Project: | Undertook civic education to sensitize communities in their civic rights and obligations. Our emphases were on democracy, citizenship and responsibilities, human rights, women's participation in politics, voting functions of the councilor and members of parliament. After undergoing these workshops, the communities begun to demand that their civic leaders be accountable and participate in debates of national policies such as the Land Act and the Constitution. |
