| Purpose: | To promote rural enterprise development through training for rural entrepreneurs; develop training materials; teach rural women usable farm findings from research institutions in Ghana; improve on production related activities of women to seek solution to food security problems and promote rural industries. |
| Illustrative Project: | AWIDE with the assistance of Trickle-Up, New York, was able to provide credit to 350 enterprises involving 1,750 people to enable them to establish small businesses which enabled them to earn an income and to be independent. The groups have come together to acquire a 120 acre land for an agro-forestry project in the central region of Ghana. |
