| Purpose: | To support poor rural and peri-urban communities initiatives to improve themselves socio-economically, agriculture, nutrition, environment, information dissemination on health, legal and economic issues, training, leadership, managerial and technical skills, adult literacy. |
| Illustrative Project: | Our information education and communication project held several workshops with rural communities (these constitute 80% of the total population) to raise their awareness to the importance of registering their marriages, to give them information on the advantages and disadvantages of the two types of marriages as well as for them to indicate what they would like to see happen in terms of marriage and inheritance on the death of a spouse. |
