| Purpose: | To improve the livelihood security of poor households with special focus on disadvantaged members of the community, such as women. |
| Illustrative Project: | Zeghe Community Development Project: This project targets coffee growers and fishery groups whose livelihoods were threatened by lack of water and appropriate fishing gear. Provision of water pumps made it possible to access water from a nearby lake and thus improve fishing activities. A revolving fund scheme has helped provide better fishing gear as well as increased local incomes. |
