| Purpose: | To improve the economic status of women through cooperatives to boost their earning power; to support their income generating projects through micro-credit schemes; to establish cottage industries for members to ease unemployment; to provide training on food and nutrition, malnutrition, HIV/AIDS/ATDS, reproductive health, the girl child, child survival, adolescence and youth. |
| Illustrative Project: | Eradication of poverty: We are running a project on agriculture, food and nutrition. The association has procured fertilizer for its farm members to boost food production. Food shop has been established for the sale of agricultural products from the hinterlands to the general public in the urban areas. Also, a nutrition workshop was organized to inform the public on the need for good nutrition. |
