Purpose of the organization: To raise awareness about and promote mental health and general welfare and to uphold and advance the interests of people who experience mental health problems and their families and carers.
Activities relevant to the conference of States Parties to the convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities: Member of the Convention Coalition Campaign for Ratification without Reservation, coordinated by Disability Awareness Action, on the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities
Confirmation of the activities of the organization at the regional, national or international level: SAMH provides direct services across Scotland to people with mental health problems and those who are homeless, at risk of homelessness or are experiencing addictions or alcohol related brain damage. We also campaign for rights and rights-based policy, through our policy, research and information function.
