- MSRS has the associative status with DPI UN since 2008. - Participated in 61st annual conference organized by DPI/NGO ( September, 2008, Paris, France). - Participated in International conference “Bilingual and ethno cultural education at modern school: methodic, problems, perspectives” (November, 2007, Moscow, Russia) - Since 2005 the MSRS member organization - Cultural association «Russian home» (Palermo) and department of UNESCO «Theatre as means of a support of education and mutual understanding of cultures» cooperate in theatre developing and studing. Thus they organized international conferences «Alexander Pushkin and Giacomo Leopardi. Sides of infinite perception» (November, 2005) and «Nikolay Gogol and Luigi Pirandello» (September, 2006) ; - July- August 2006: the MSRS member organization - The Association of Russian Businessmen in Cyprus (ARBC) cooperated with International Emergency Food Council for the purposes of humanitarian help organized by of the Russian Ministry of Emergency measures to the Lebanon-Israeli conflict zone: assistance in organization of refugees’ evacuation (reception, placing, financial support). Also ARBC assisted UN structures on developing contacts between Greek and Turks-Cypriots. - Since 2006 the MSRS member organization - The Russian community of Crimea and its representatives in local parliament take part in UN Integration and Development Program in Crimea. - July, 2007, Paris, the MSRS member organization - The Russian community of Kazakhstan was a member of the Kazakhstan delegation and took part in working of the round table held by UNESCO; - February, 2008, Tbilisi: the MSRS member organization - The union of Russian women of Georgia “Yaroslavna” held Seminar-training about protection of human rights, where all basic UN documents were studied; - February, 2008, Moscow: the MSRS member organization - The International pedagogical society in support of Russian language along with UNESCO Bureau in Moscow took part in round table: «Russian language all over the world. Foreign language environment and adaptation at school». - Information about cooperation of International Council of Russian Compatriots (MSRS) with UN representations is always placed in MSRS web site, as well as all UN information related to Russia and Russian compatriots. - The MSRS regularly participates in the meetings, organized by the UN Information Centre in Moscow (headed by A.Gorelik) |

Many of them are also associations and unions - like “International Association of Youth Compatriots Abroad” (MAMORS), the “International Pedagogical Society for Russian Language Support”, many others. Totally the MSRS embraces more than 800 local member organizations around the world. The MSRS has also good relations with other non-governmental organizations and research institutes, like the Institute of Russia Abroad, Institute of the countries of CIS, others. |

- 2006-2009 - participation in realization of annual World Russian Forum in the USA on economic and humanitarian cooperation issues (USA); - July, 2006 – The International sport teenage festival of Russian compatriots, 600 persons from 24 countries took part in this festival (Russia); -January, 2007 – The gala ceremony of delivery of the Honorable award of The Moscow Government and MSRS «The Compatriot of the Year - 2006» (Russia); -October, 2007 – The International festival of Russian compatriots «The Russian song»; 430 persons from 47 countries took part in this festival (Russia); - February, 2008 - The gala ceremony of delivery of the Honorable award of The Moscow Government and MSRS «The Compatriot of the Year- 2007» (Russia); - July, 2008 – The Second International sport teenage festival of Russian compatriots, 880 persons from 40 countries took part in this festival (Russia); - December, 2008 - Carrying out of III report-back election conference of International Council of Russian Compatriots (MSRS) with participation of 114 delegates (from 122 member organizations) from 48 countries and the gala ceremony of delivery of the Honorable award of The Moscow Government and MSRS «The Compatriot of the Year- 2008» (Russia). - June 2009: Cremea (Ukraine): The 3rd International festival "The Great Russian Word". Organized with the MSRS support by the MSRS member organization "Russian Community of Cremea". - June 2009: Georgia: The 2nd International Festival of russian speaking poets "In search of Golden Fleece".
