(INDIGENOUS NUBIAN) UPDATE
Purpose of the organization: Advocating to: 1. Support indigenous people return to Wadi Halfa 2. Rehabiltation Wadi halfa’s hospital 3. Preserve the Nubian civilization and build a museum in Wadi Halfa . 4. Removing the asbestos roofs entirely and replacing them with sustainable, non harmful and durable material. 5. Supplying the New Halfa with clean water, sanitation and water treatment facilities. 6. Providing transportation across the Nubian lake. We provide awareness materials, learning workshops and professional training of harmful traditional practices. Benefiting from the links, values, feelings of kinship, neighboring, and mutual benefits between traditional communities and other communities and develop their relation even more. And deepen the content to include public actions in the various communities through. * Organizing and holding seminars and training sessions regarding collective work in all of the activities Help young people and stimulate to exercise all of the activities designed to develop and strengthen their capabilities and talents * Mobilizing and monitor the capacities of the involved groups and employ them to achieving the goals of the organization particularly in the following: * Identifying the needs of development and compile all data and information about them. * Preparing and training citizens especially youth to be involved in the public affairs and deepen the development and establishment of the traditions and values. * Creating opportunities for youth convergence and provides them with the needed care through which we could build a nation with national unity, knowledge, understanding and respect. * Strengthening the emotions and motives of assimilation and co-existence between different groups through the establishment of projects of common benefit between the different groups. * Developing any other means which will contribute the achievement of the organization objectives. * Providing for displaced persons from Darfur.
Activities relevant to the conference of States Parties to the convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities: MYGOMA Orphanage PROJECT.fundraising for medical equipment. collecting donations of clothing and toys for the orphans.
Confirmation of the activities of the organization at the regional, national or international level: The Organization Provided ten (10) computers for the community Club in August 1, 2009 the organization has provided donations for $ 2000 dollars for Darfour Students at universities in Khartoum on 2010 cloth the organization donate for the MAYGOMA orphans Shelter gift and on January 25 2010 the organization donate for the Darfur displaced children schools bags in New Halfa February 2010 co-organized exhibition Nubian Heritage at the Nubian family club in Khartoum on February 5, 2010 the organization the organization participated in the World Conference on Women at the United Nations in New York in the period between 1 to March 12, 2010 Share the systems in the native population of the United Nations in New York in the period between 19 to 30 April 2010 the organization participated in the Conference on the Sustainable Development of the United Nations in New York from 3 to 14 May 2010 plan next year Organization seeks to achieve its objectives: - Follow-up request submitted to the United Nations concerning the houses of New Halfa asbestos problem. - School Bag Project for the schools and the state of Kassala on as needed. - Help the people who affected by the flooding of this year in New Halfa. - developing tourism in the Northern State. Attending UN conferences on behalf of Onna Organization. Initiating partnerships with other UN NGOs with the kind support and advice from MR. Amir Dossal (Global Partnerships Forum). On April 24, 2013. We were invited and participated in the ECOSOC Philanthropy and Partnership event. We were honored with the presence of one of the worlds most influential person in the world whom is also Nubian. We look forward to working with the Mo Ibrahim Foundation. We hope to honor Mr Mo Ibrahim at the UN soon.
