Purpose of the organization: OUR VISION/ AIM Our aim in Blood Drive Initiative is to provide safe and sustainable blood supply through the recruitment and retention of healthy, voluntary, non-remunerated donors (VNRDs) in accordance with WHO guidelines on blood donation. OUR OBJECTIVES • To help Nigeria in the attainment of achievement of its 100% voluntary blood donation • To curb the spread of HIV/AIDS acquired through the transfusion of unsafe blood • To phase out the menace of blood touts and racketeering • To discourage the practise of replacement or relative donor • To provide an equal chance at living for every patient who requests for blood • To put to use, positive peer influence in a bid to inculcate volunteerism among the youths
