Involvement in UN Partnerships: Yes
If yes, explain in detail: We have participated in numerous UN events and conferences, including the recent Special Event on Education and Philanthropy, as well as the High Level Energy Conference.
Affiliation with other organizations: We have built several relationships with NGOs in the countries in which we are working in order to further our work on the ground. Example of such partnerships include Goods4Goods in Malawi, Forum For The Environment in Ethiopia, Tanzania Traditional Energy Development Organization (TaTEDO) Barefoot Power (a producer of lost cost solar home solutions) in Uganda. We have also built strategic partnerships with organizations in the US, with whom we work on our US based programs.
Publications: Now in our fourth year, we have begun to produce annual reports and look forward to producing reports on issues pertaining to our work, including energy poverty and its impact on education and maternity services, as well as the solutions we have found in alternative energies.

Purpose of the organization: Our mission is to facilitate holistic sustainable development in rural African villages. Our work most directly impacts the fields of healthcare, education, clean water and agriculture. By working in these fields, our projects improve the local economy, maternity services, gender equality, sanitation, food security and more at the community level.
Confirmation of the activities of the organization at the regional, national or international level: We frequently conduct educational and speaking tours, as well as social and educational programming in the US. We are now building a global volunteer network and look forward to expanding these activities to an international level.

Description of the membership of the organization, indicating the total number of members: As mentioned previously, we have seven staff members internationally, two of whom are based in the US. We have 348 volunteers, over 60 active in NY. We have a mailing list of over 12,000 individuals.
