Description of the membership of the organization, indicating the total number of members: CSR-in-Action is a community of leaders dedicated to building strong, ethical and sustainable communities. Our members include corporations, governments, non-profits, foundations, philanthropists, celebrities, and thought leaders from all over the region. We make it a point to provide members with opportunities to convene, connect, and collaborate online, through events and one-on-one introductions. CiA members are distinctive in their quest for change. They join CiA to generate new ideas, learn about best practices, and forge partnerships that will transform the face of Africa. Each member is encouraged to adopt ‘Unini’ — a decisive plan to take specific steps to address a local challenge. Our work is clearly cut out: to make the stars of our network shine. The CiA website attracts thousands of visitors and we give each member an opportunity to reach their full potential through the guidance of a dedicated relationship manager with robust knowledge in the Millennium Development Goals challenge areas. Relationship managers provide advice, share information and ideas, and make connections between members working on similar issues. Members have opportunity to network face to face during our quarterly business hubs and other annual events, which pools together respectable members of society, philanthropists, top government officials, heads of corporations, social entrepreneurs, non-profits, celebrities and national and international media. Members will also be featured in our annual compendium of all social investments and activities in Nigeria. CSR-in-Action (CiA) membership is open to all companies and organisations, regardless of size, location or experience in managing their business in a responsible and sustainable way. We have a total of 21 members, made of CSO and private sector organisations.
