Accreditation to: Indigenous Forum
Affiliation with other organizations: The indigenoues people are the POKOT of Kenya. They are are located in Rift Valley Province of Kenya. The are IPs who have been affected by marginalization since independence in 1963. Their land in Trans Nzoia County was taken forcefullyu by the govermnent, there are a lot of human rights violations including mismanagement of community resources by intuders. The Pokot people are 512,000 in terms of population. The situation in the community is bad that require good will and support from like minded stakeholders.
