If yes, explain in detail: currently implementing human rights education for UNDP/UNIPSIL at community level and at the same time monitoring communities for human rights violation with specific reference to sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA),Gender Based violence (GBV),Child rights violations (CRV).ISSUES are refered to the family support unit of the Sierra Leone Police,formalities are carried out and cases are charged to court.we also follow up and monitor both the local and magistrate courts.perpetuator(s) found guilty of offence aresentenced to jail.The problem normally encountered are lack of support for SGBV survivors for medical examination and treatment and legal proceedings,as families of most survivors can not afford to under write the cost because of poverty or its related factors and as such cases normally died a natural death,coupled with the lack of magistrate court sittings for five to six months due to the high tide assume by the moa river which makes difficult to access the district headquarter town of pujehun.
Affiliation with other organizations: MUPA has a strong networking with NGOs,CBOs and government line ministries operating in the district.infact MUPA is the contact point for all development activities in the region behind the moa river,focal point for CSOs and human rights activities in the region.currently MUPA is in partnership with save the children,implementing teenage pregnancy,SGBV and child rights in twelve communities in makpele and soro-gbeima chiefdoms in pujehun district.
