  • Non-governmental organization
Affiliation with other organizations: On July 1st, 2005, at Geneva, the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) signed a convention of collaboration with the Switzerland-Morocco Foundation for Sustainable Development (SMFD). The UNDP belongs to the global network of the United Nations and works for the development in several fields: democratic governance, poverty reduction, risks prevention and reconstruction, energy and environment, Information Technology and communication or sport promotion related to development and peace. This collaboration between the UNDP and the SMFD will reinforce the knowledge, fight poverty and promote human development. The present framework agreement is based on the ethic principles as well as shared responsibility. It also reflects the SMFD will to contribute to the human sustainable development in the Kingdom of Morocco, as it is a socially aware Swiss Moroccan Foundation. As best as they can, the SMFD and the PNUD will associate other national and/or foreign actors in their development projects.
