Purpose of the organization: SEBRAE’s objectives encompass fostering the entrepreneurship culture; strengthening partners networks in support to micro and small enterprises; territorial development and local production systems; enhancing the access to financial services; and, advocacy in favor of micro and small enterprises. In order to achieve these goals, SEBRAE assists enterprises by offering its portfolio of training courses as well as consultancy activities in the areas of innovation, access to markets, and business management.
Activities relevant to the conference of States Parties to the convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities: SEBRAE implements programs that aim at enabling entrepreneurs to overcome the situation of vulnerability and to regain financial and economic autonomy. Projects on clusters, cooperatives and other initiatives targeted to promote economic development and the fostering of capacity-building through a strategy of sustainable territorial development are also part of SEBRAE’s strategy.
