Sustainable Development

Affiliation with other organizations: Each of the Mechanisms is affiliated with an organization, including: World Bank; African Development Bank; Asian Development Bank; European Bank for Reconstruction and Development; European Investment Bank; etc...
Publications: Each mechanism publishes an Annual Report, in addition to reports related to specific complaint and cases raised by communities in regards to certain development projects.

Purpose of the organization: Promote bottom-up accountability (i.e. giving voices to people affected by international development Project and promoting a venue to seek recourse vis-a-vis international financial institutions)

Confirmation of the activities of the organization at the regional, national or international level: The Association includes mechanisms of the World Bank and from each of the regional development Banks. There is not one country or region where the work of at least one of the member organizations hasn't reached
A list of members of the governing body of the organization, and their countries of nationality: This is a loose association of organizations. Every year or for every Project, one of the member association takes a leadership role.

Publications: Can conduct investigations into Project that contravene World Bank Policy (and other development Banks' policies) on gender equality.

Forests

Affiliation with other organizations: IAMs have been considered a Major Group when we submitted a paper to RIO+20. The Inspection Panel of the World Bank is a creation of the Rio Summit in 1992.
