The specific people represented by the organization is the Maasai communities in Kajiado and Laikipia North, as well as the Samburu peoples of northern kenya. these are in three different counties in kenaya and they practice nomadic pastoralism, largely concervative traditional in all aspects eith very high illteracy levels, at 60% prevalence and adversely affected by climate change effects and national marginaliztion. there is lack of acceptance of pastoralism as a way of life, hence high prevalences of poverty due to exclusion at all levels. despite all thes the communities try to keep their food security livelihoods within a fast changing neighbourhood, furhter isolating the indigenous peoples in kenya |
