Publications: Health Education Nutrition (HEN)2009 Avideo brief interpretation of HEN Framework was posted at YOU TUBE accessed at the link bellow: www.youtube.com/watch?v=65isT_156pQ HEN Health Education Nutrition (HEN), is an intergrated community development approach to poverty reduction. With this initiative, KACOBA targets implementing the 8 Milenium Development Goals at house hold level. This has been tested as a pilot project with a focus at increased production, women's empowerment-Economically, Academicall, and socially. HEN supports increased production, and therefore increased and surstainable house hold incomes. With improved sanitation (clean habitable and ventilated house, clean compound, clean latrine, clean bathroom, good plate stand, good kitchen, among others) HEN aims at reducing preventable diseases associated with poor sanitation. This reduces expenses incurred on the medical care that reduces consequently on Government expenditure on preventable diseases. Production and intake of organically grown nutritious foods (Millet, Maize, Cassava, Bananas, Rice, Sorgum, Potatoes, Simsim, Ejjobyo, Mpande, Ikubi, Isusa, Dodo, Pawpaws, Kulekula, Ground nuts, etc) helps body nutrients that facilitates slowed progression of HIV/AIDS. This has a direct impact on reduced Maternal and Child motality
