| Purpose: | The economic empowerment of women. This is achieved through empowering low-income women entrepreneurs who have not had access to economic resources, through provision of financial services - savings, credit, information, training, advocacy, lobbying and networking. |
| Illustrative Project: | The organization has organized more than 500 women members in one of the more densely populated areas of the city. These women receive credit from WFCZ. Leadership training and capacity building imparted to the women have enabled their leaders to undertake the following: recruit new members into the organization; assist in preparing members to apply for loans, to receive loans; monitor groups loan repayments; arrange for a new branch office to be opened. |
