| Purpose: |
To assist orphans through school placement and skill training; to take care of families which are struggling financially; to train retirees in new methods of farming and tree planting; to reduce poverty by increasing food production; to create jobs by engaging women in farming their own portions of land, on the society's land; to reduce depression and hoplessness among orphans by teaching them self reliance and placing them in schools / skill training institutions. |
| Illustrative Project: |
Vocational Skill / Employment Creation - we have seen two students through primary school and skills courses: one student (a boy) has completed auto mechanics and has found a job. The other student (a girl) has completed a course in hotel catering and works for a major hotel. Six youth (orphans) are currently undergoing training in organic minimal tillage farming methods, as well as tree planting and management. |
