Purpose: |
The Ecumenical Youth Peace Initiative Commission (EYPIC) was established in 1996 in order to involve youth in solving religious, ethnic and tribal conflicts through peaceful means. It carries out research, organises seminars, sponsors projects on sustainable, more settled farming in areas where extensive farming has led to conflict. EYPIC has several committees that deal with conflict prevention and resolution, including the Justice and Peace Committee, the Conflict Resolution Committee, and the Ecumenical and Religious Studies Committee. The EYPIC also provides training and organises workshops on conflict issues in Cameroon. |
