Purpose: |
To enhance the social, economic and cultural well-being of the people in Sierra Leone. Mission statement: DADA-SL cognizant of the high prevalence of the political, economic and social ills in the rural societies of Sierra leone, is desired to address these ills through human rights education, awareness and sustainable community development programmes. |
Illustrative Project: |
Established a drug centre in Yeliboye Island, Samueldom, Kambid district in 1999. Recommences the AFCOD clinic at Rokai in 2000. Formed local cooperatives within its membership in a form of revolving loan scheme in 1997 in Yeliboye. Mediated peace in a form of conflict resolution as a result of power struggle in the entire Samueldom in 2001. Implemented a project on farming through empowering farmers in the form of tools and seed supply. Carried out a lot of joint research on human rights violations. |
