To strive through research to identify and prioritize development needs of neglected rural communities in micro-economic, agricultural, technology and social areas in order to promote the well being of rural Zimbabweans using the participatory approach. |
| Illustrative Project: |
Community biodiversity development and conservation strategies employed at the local level by farmers have been documented. Indigenous knowledge, systems and practices have been documented and incorporated in programmes designed to restore and enhance community based (on-farm) crop improvements to increase food self-sufficiency at household level. |
