| Purpose: |
Promotion of sustainable development - hence emphasis on poverty eradication and environmental protection and awareness. Our projects are based in rural areas and therefore sustainable agricultural development as basis for sustainable human development is critical to all our approaches. Agriculture is the source of livelihood for most people, and therefore its proper harnessing is critical to ensure both food and income security at household level. But this should be done without destroying the resources that future generations will need for their needs. |
| Illustrative Project: |
Through credit and micro-finance, rural women have started savings towards their own-input requirements as well as for income security. As an indigenous NGO with no external funding, our operations are hampered by shortage of funding. Nevertheless, we are currently the only NGO which is not sponsored but with a strong savings plan for participants in Zambia. |
