Office of the Special Adviser on Africa
Purpose: To support and direct the personal development of young men and boys; to train young men and boys to become responsible citizens; to educate young men and boys in their spiritual, social, intellectual and physical development.
Illustrative Project: Continuos non-formal education programmes for adolescents aged from 11 to 18; outdoor activities for approximately 130,000 participants in 1995; refugee projects in cooperation with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees.
