| Purpose: |
To promote the study and application of political science through research, teaching and publication; promote political and social justice through advocacy; assist African societies, governments and institutions through appropriate strategies towards the attainment of democracy and sustainable development. |
| Illustrative Project: |
During the last four years the AAPS has promoted research on democratization in Africa as well as peace and security. It has organized conferences to publicize and debate its findings. It has also published its findings on democratization and holds regular seminars and workshops through its branches in various African countries. It has also been offering consultancies and doing advocacy work on conflict resolution, peace and security. |
