| Purpose: | To provide socio-economic and environmentally responsible mineral sector development in eastern and southern Africa. The specific objectives of the EASMRDC are to facilitate the provision, access, coordination and harmonization of services in the mineral sector which will lead to accelerated development in the mineral resources in Africa, thus stimulating rapid economic development and social progress in the region. |
