| Purpose: | To empower women and educate them on gender and development issues. The centre focuses mainly on the women in rural areas, because these women are always left behind in the development programmes. |
| Illustrative Project: | During the local election in the KwaZulu Natal Province, NWRC conducted voter education programmes in rural areas - 7 women stood for elections as councilors and won. |
