| Purpose: |
The NMCF is a trust fund established for charitable and education objectives focusing on all children and young people at risk who live in severely deprived socio-economic circumstances. The NMCF is particularly interested in funding projects and orgranisations which work with children and youth who are homeless and abused, have not had the benefit of adequate education, are at risk of habitual deliquency, are disabled, and have no recreational opportunities. |
| Illustrative Project: |
The NMCF funds various children's homes and shelters that are involved in providing quality care for children who are homeless, abandoned, orphaned or abused. These homes/shelters need staff with appropriate skills who provide social work services to the children in their care to ensure secure and permanent environments for them, i.e. return to their own homes, foster care or adoption. |
