| Purpose: | Support the island population of the Bijagos-Archipelago situated in front of the coast of Guinea-Bissau in order to stop the exodus of young people. |
| Illustrative Project: | Vocational training of craftmen, seamen and fishermen. 70 young people have been trained; establishment of small scale enterprises i.e a group of 7 boats builders started their own artisan ship yard in May 1996. This initiative succeeded without any further support. |
