PEMSAHR is an active NGO in the field of soil, water and biological resource conservation. PEMSAHR applies practical techniques involving the realization of soil, water, biological resources conservation project programmes and policies. PEMSAHR also develops and tests methods of individual, community and organizational development to empower the underprivileged to extricate themselves from the circumstances in which they live. |
| Illustrative Project: |
PEMSAHR executes pasture improvement programs under the Tubah Natural Resource Management project sponsored by the Swiss Association for International Cooperation (Helvetas). The project has an objective for the development of improved pastures in Tubah as a holistic approach to the Tuanh upland watershed management, thus reducing grazing pressure on the watershed and also reducing farmers/grazers conflicts. For the past two years, over 150 hectares of improved pastures have been established for individual grazers. |
