Office of the Special Adviser on Africa

Purpose: The goals of the Federation are to educate Muslim women in their duties and rights; to encourage the establishment of classes and institutions for women and children's islamic education and literacy; to provide a forum where social problems of Muslim women can be discussed; to enlighten and educate Muslim women in the country on both national and international issues affecting them in particular and the Muslim community in general; to establish and encourage female education, including literacy classes, general, Islamic and vocational education; to promote interfaith dialogue; to promote peaceful coexistence between Muslims and people of other faiths; and to initiate the involvement of Muslim women in income-generating activities while maintaining and upholding the ideals, principals and virtues of Islam.
