Office of the Special Adviser on Africa

Purpose: The Arab Council for Childhood and Development (ACCD) is an Arab non-governmental organization that has a legal entity and functions in the field of childhood and development in the Arab world.
Illustrative Project: The Arab Council for Childhood and Development and its project to confront the phenomenon of street children with a strategic vision based on the following: Implementing regional projects in the five Arab countries concerned in the first stage, namely The Sudan, Lebanon, Egypt, Yemen and Morocco; preparing training programs for those who are working in this field; conducting studies and research to determine the magnitude of this problem to activate all means for its' elimination; adopting a list of activities that would help in providing the resources needed to expand this project; continuing the media efforts to stimulate Arab public opinion about the problem.
