Office of the Special Adviser on Africa

Purpose: To acculturate jounalists in order to appreciate their roles as mass educators in their societies; to consciously promote inter-relationships which take into account the new global dispensation, owing in part to the New Information World Order; to give journalists in general access to a more comprehensive world view.
Illustrative Project: One edition of Media World Newsletter has focus on "A-Z of the fundamentals of the Nigerian Stock Exchange". It was motivated by the fact that the general society knew very little about the capital market. Journalists, the mass educators were not in a good position to disseminate news on it effectively either. The Newsletter (54 pages) was meant as a reference material for journalists. It was not for sale. Therefore, every journliast got a copy. It was funded by advertisers.
