| Purpose: | Improve the quality of the natural and human environment; contribute to improved economic and social conditions; foster communication and exchange; promote South-South and North-South dialogue. |
| Illustrative Project: | A program to support micro-enterprises in a poor Tunisian suburb. Credit, training and support is currently given to 500 clients. Over 3,000 individuals have been impacted, 600 loans disbursed (approximately $400,000). Repayment rate is 98%. Sixty percent of the clients are women, some youth (under 20) and some handicapped. |
