FINCA operates in 10 districts out of 39 in Uganda. 315 village banks where opened as of 30 November 1997, providing access to 10,069 women micro-entrepreneurs. Between September 1993 and November 1997 gross loans worth US$ 4,089,696 were disbursed. So far US$ 522,610 have been mobilized to the benefit of the women and the economy in general. The outstanding portfolio currently stands at US$ 722.845. The average value per individual of all loans(US$ 107) and repayment rate (on time monthly) stands at 98.9%. |
