| Purpose: |
To promote holistic health with emphasis on oral health through intensive dental education to schools and village communities; to screen and take mobile first aid dental treatment to the door steps of the deprived rural people at the grass roots since hospital-based facilities are few, inaccessible and often unaffordable; to access and mobilize resources for medical support services. |
| Illustrative Project: |
Because of the two commonest oral diseases; dental care and periodontal diseases are preventable through simple and low cost means especially through oral health education, change of attitudes and appropriate diet, ASPRODENT embarked on intensive oral health education through lecturers to secondary schools in Sekondi-Takoradi and Cape Coast municipalities. |
