| Purpose: |
The organisation was started to empower women by mobilising local resources to set up small businesses. The group provided members with loans through credit schemes as a revolving fund. The group now engages in assisting orphans and vulnerable children in Chebiemit Division, Marakwet District in HIV/AIDS education. |
| Illustrative Project: |
The group has actively participated in implementing OVC programs using their own resources. Twenty orphans have received clothing, food through donations from members. The group has also participated in conflict resolution in Kerio valley as well as in democracy and voter education during the previous general election. women themselves have been sensitizing the public on the adverse effects of HIV/AIDS. |
