| Purpose: |
DTM believes that the media has prodigious impact as a tool for presenting important ideas on governance and social development to the general public. DTM also realizes the need to create a new generation of media practitioners to process social messages in interesting and appealing ways to attract a wide and diverse audience. |
| Illustrative Project: |
The organization is currently working on a feature film project based on the human rights concerns of women and children associated with the South African freedom fighters who were based in the Eastern African region, particularly Tanzania. Their current state of disillusionment and abject poverty in Tanzania and Zambia epitomizes Africa's ordinary people's involvement in Africa's social development. This role is often forgotten during stock- taking of Africa's success stories. |
