Office of the Special Adviser on Africa |
Purpose: |
Creativity for rural women and youth handicrafts, farming activities, creative writing and teaching, education and training in women's rights and HIV/AIDS, education and training. Our top priority now is to continue to offer counselling services to PLWHA in our own facility, encourage more youth and rural women to do screening and search partners to assist with treatment and improved nutrition. |
Illustrative Project: |
Our organization has carried out training seminars and workshops for about 6000 leaders of rural women and youth groups in 93 villages on HIV/AIDS sensitisation, women's rights and peacekeeping. These workshops have been carried out successfully for the past three years continuously. We have carried out many 'training of trainers', workshops on HIV/AIDS in rural communities of the Northwest, West and South West Provinces of Cameroon in 2003 mainly on caring for PLWHA and now search treatment possibilities. We equally address HIV prevention, risk-reduction and grassroot mobilisation. |
