| Purpose: |
SIRF disseminates information and education on the environment, and provides development assistance to CBOs with a focus on women and children. SIRF is currently engaged in environmental health activities such as sanitation and safe drinking water as well as microfinance as focal activities. |
| Illustrative Project: |
SIRF has an ongoing local government sanitation and safe drinking water demonstration exercise in 100 locations which are being supported as public health projects. The SIRF micro-credit financing has benefited 1,812 clients, and increased funding support is being sought to achieve the planned target of 5,000. |
