| Purpose: | To participate in the the development of small and medium size enterprises through training and consultation services provided to SMEs as well as other service providers operating in Namibia. |
| Illustrative Project: | The IMTL, together with the financial backing of the German Development Secretariat, GTZ established a revolving credit fund in 1994. Under this fund, the IMTL has supported 95 SMEs with an average loan size of N$17,000 up to date. Out of the 95 clients, 87% are still in business, 7 have fully paid back their loans, and the fund maintains a payback rate of 74%. |
