| Purpose of the organization: |
A non-profit organization and Cultural Institution, producer, publisher and distributor of free audio-books and other cultural products for visual impaired persons. We also produce audio recording and transcription of annual reports, training and information documents. Vues et Voix thirteen recording booths are digital and meet the latest technology standards. Each year we records 850 audio-books, 110 000 loans to 10 000 users.450 volunteers record, assist and verify the book over 38 000 hours of volunteer work to record the book and near 3 000 hours for the radio. We operate a radio station that gives employment to handicap people. The main goal of our radio station is to contribute to the empowerment of disable people. We broadcast 24 hours a day seven days a week. We also read newspaper and magazine articles. We contribute significantly to the equality of cultural and educational rights for disable people. We facilitate social inclusion and equality of rights. We promote equality of opportunity. We give equal access interactive multimedia and cultural rights recognized by the United Nations and specified in the Millennium Development Goals (MDGS) |
| Activities relevant to the conference of States Parties to the convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities: |
We help Algerian National Library to set up an audio books library. For five years, in partnership with Union Francophone des Aveugles (UFA), we help St-Vincent school for the blinds in Port-au-Prince (Haiti) by supervising and helping students to reach their goals and have better academic results. In Haiti, after the earthquake, in cooperation with L'Espace-Sud de Martinique we distribute one container of scholastic supplies. In cooperation with la Commune de St-Louis de Marie-Galante, we are planing to open a audio books library. In cooperation with Les Anses d'Arlet, we are planing on installing an audio books recording center and library. |

Our audio books and radio programs are available all over the world. Our partnership are mainly in Quebec, Canada, La Guadeloupe, La Martinique, France and all the french countries of Africa. |
