ADHRB seeks to foster American support of the pro-democracy movement in Bahrain by developing informational materials, organizing events, meeting with US lawmakers and government officials, and increasing awareness of the democracy and human rights movement in Bahrain. |

In our communities, we raise awareness of key issues by hosting events with an emphasis on bringing speakers from the Bahraini-American community as well as from Bahrain. ADHRB's website serves as both a source of news on Bahrain and a space for sharing educational materials that can be used by citizen advocates to engage the public. By creating a broad-based coalition and reaching out to the academic, legal and human rights communities, we aim to create a stronger public engagement in America with the Bahraini pro-democracy movement. In the US Congress and Executive branch, we develop relationships with key officials, representatives, and staff members to create sustainable improvements in US foreign policy towards human rights in Bahrain. In the media – both mainstream and alternative – we work to increase awareness of the Bahraini revolution by promoting and distributing stories and op-eds regarding events taking place within Bahrain. In Bahrain, we support the work of leaders in the democracy and human rights movement in Bahrain by facilitating connections between them and US policymakers and leading non-governmental organizations. |
