The mbororo pastoralist practice transhumance where they move to the valleys in the dry season for greaner pastures and return to the Highlands in the rainy season where pasture is abundant. They live on fresh milk and corn maise as their main diet.meat is occassional .The women spent their time looking after the home and children as well as the men look after the cattles ridding horses, and engargement with the outside world (governmentt officials ,farmers MAJOR PROBLEMS -There is no security and Competion for natural resources ( farm, pasture, land, access to watering points) are key causes of conflits. -Little acces to educational facilities and illiteracy amongst women is about 98 percent. -Discrimination,extortion and exclusion by some currupt govt officials and individuals . -They suffer from illegal arrest and detention frequantly. -Mbororo people are timid and afriad to confront their problems, this makes them vulnerable to many situations of exploitation -Everywhere they are seen as a nuissance to get rid off especially with expanding farming population -They are not settled in large single village and today they are spread all over the highlands of cameroon. -Women suffer from range of problems relating to violation of their rights. - These women suffers from double discriminated as indigenous and as a women.Due to traditon and culture young girls are forced into early marriages. This is why the rate of illeracy amongst girls is very high. -Lack of control over income to sustain themselves and their families and are so dependent on men . is why they donot take part in any decision making even on matters affecting them.Poligamgy is used to suppressed them. -Lack of land rigts. 2- The Forest Peoples The forest peoles live in some regions of the country. The baka are the Forest dwellers and live in tentes like house made up of skicks and leaves from the forest .Their livelyhood and culture is based on hunting and gathering with little intergration into the main Stream cameroon society. MAJOR PROBLEMS -They are not represented in any decision making organ of cameroon(councils, parliament, govt, thus highly marginalised. -Due to their nature of settlement and livelihood, they are cut off from social arminities and have little support from the state. -Illiteracy rate amongst them is very high. -Commercial activities such as lumbering and loddging affect their livelihood.
