We work on the impact of acquisition of big extensions of land in Africa and we try to diminish the negative effects of these acquisitions by working towards legally binding norms on the FAO Guideliness for land acquisition. We work on the exploitation of raw materials in Africa by European companies looking at the effect on the local population of the investments in the exploitation of minerals, gas and oil. We work on the access to affordable medicines of quality for all in Africa, mainly trying to reduce the effect of the Intellectual Property Rights on the access and price of medicines. We work on the international trade, so that the policies and multilateral and bilateral agreements are not detrimental for Africa. |
